Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)
Another wrinkle for the pre-medical curriculum is the implementation of the new MCAT that occurred in 2015. Changes include the removal of the writing component, a stronger emphasis on biochemistry and the addition of a section dealing with Psychological, Social and Biological Foundations of Behavior. To adequately prepare for the MCAT, you may want to include courses in Biochemistry, Sociology and Psychology in addition to those listed on the Coursework page.
More information on these and other changes to the MCAT can be found in the Preview Guide for the MCAT2015 Exam (Second Edition).
Dental Admission Test (DAT)
The DAT is administered by the American Dental Association and is required for all dental school applicants. The DAT is designed to measure an applicants academic ability, comprehension of scientific information, and perceptual abilities. Information about the exam and how to schedule a test date can be found here.
