Costs
We offer pre-medical core science courses at a reduced per credit tuition rate for post bac students. Tuition for the 2024-2025 academic year (Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025) is $1770 per credit hour.
Estimated Total Cost
Students are required to complete a minimum of 30 credits to receive a Certificate and a Committee Letter of Recommendation. This is approximately 6 courses with labs, since most science courses are 5 credits. This is equivalent to a total of $53,100 (if courses taken during fall and spring).
However, please note that most students will take more then 30 credits in order to complete all required pre-requisite coursework. If a student plans to take a full course load, including two semesters of biology, chemistry, physics, organic chemistry 1 and biochemistry, this amounts to 38 credits and $67,260 (if courses taken during fall and spring). This calculation does not include books, travel, health insurance and personal expenses.
Students offered admission will be required to submit a non-refundable deposit of $1000 to reserve a seat. Deposits will be applied to tuition once the student matriculates.
Financial Aid
Students taking courses in the Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program may qualify for federal or other financial aid. For questions about financial aid, please contact the Office of Student Financial Services.
Scholarships
Limited need-based scholarship awards are available and will be applied to the final semester of tuition: these are not guaranteed at the point of admission. Need will be assessed by the Office of Student Financial Services through use of the FAFSA and a completed parent profile for students under 30 years of age. Students can apply at the mid-point of their post baccalaureate studies.
