Most Medical Schools require students to take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) which is administered by the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC). Until 2006, the MCAT was administered twice a year (April and August). The test is now administered nearly two dozen times a year from January through September.
Pre-Dental students are generally required to take the Dental Admission Test (DAT) and submit their scores as part of the application process.
